Kids Program

One of the cornerstones of Mission First BJJ is our Kid’s Program. Our goal is to set up each child for success not only on the mat, but for life. The Kid’s curriculum is based on a crawl, walk, then run method. Our instructors introduce your child to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu through entertaining, functional games which incorporate strength and conditioning, keeping your child healthy and strong. Mission First BJJ places a high emphasis on anti-bullying techniques and confidence building.

Mission First BJJ takes tremendous pride in its welcoming family atmosphere created by our instructors. The Mission First staff is made up entirely of parents who have children in the program. Most of the instructors began their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey after witnessing what a positive effect it had on their child. Each instructor not only understands what your child is going through on the mat, but what you as parent sitting on the sidelines is experiencing.

Crawl, walk, then run…

Sparring

Under close supervision of an instructor, children are paired with peers of similar size and age.  Each week, we see our students grow leaps and bounds as they gain expertise, grow their individual and team working skills.  Confidence is built with multifaceted game play and sparring, coupled with Mission First BJJ’s mantra of, “We don’t lose...We learn.”

Classes

Classes are broken down in following age groups: 5-7 Years, 7-9 Years, and 9-14 Years.  If you are interested in our program, we encourage child and guardian come watch a class together. This allows your child to acclimate him/herself to the environment, instructors, and other children in our program.  If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to call (401) 787-1690.
